MEET Elizabeth
I experienced a beautiful God moment while on retreat at my church and it changed the way I viewed myself and my approach to my clients. I was mediating on scripture when, out of nowhere, a butterfly fluttered across a window in my meditation. I was stunned and intrigued. For the rest of the weekend, I could not figure out what it meant. A few weeks later, I was at church praying when I looked up at one of the stained glass windows. To my surprise...a tiny butterfly in the window! I was overwhelmed with joy and peace! In that moment, I understood. I smiled up at Jesus, knowing that this perfect little butterfly was His way of telling me that He loves me! To others, this might seem small, but to me, it was a pivotal moment in my life. Jesus knew I would understand what He was trying to tell me and I feel so loved, knowing that it is His and my little way of communicating to each other! I see butterflies everywhere now...in parking lots, at my home while I'm working, on my honeymoon, even on my wedding day! I get teary just writing about it. Often, if I'm stressed, feeling lonely, or weighed down by this world, I just have to look up and there He is, showing me that He loves me infinitely! After that day at my church, I decided to incorporate the butterfly into my brand. My senior packages have titles named after butterflies...California Sister, Painted Lady, The Queen! To me, it's a reminder of God's love, not only for me, but for everyone and how it's my calling as a creative to spread that love to each one of my clients! To make them feel like a million dollars behind the camera. To show them a friendly face and to never let them leave a session or a wedding without feeling loved by Christ through me!
LET'S TALK ABOUT BUTTERFLIES
Hey Hey Hey! It's me, Elizabeth!!!
My rock. My joy. The biggest supporter of E G Photography!! We said yes to forever and were married this past October. It was an incredible day and perfect in every way! In November, we received a little surprise...a positive pregnancy test!!! Baby Prater is due this coming August and we are thrilled.
Currently, Robby and I are enjoying decorating our home! My favorite part has been printing and hanging our wedding photos (shocker hehe)
On date nights, we love to eat out at our favorite restaurants, Bricktown Brewery and Promise Thai! At night, you'll catch us curled up on the couch, watching our favorite sci-fi with some popcorn and a Dr. P!
MY Better half
Another obsession of mine is a good, rich latte! Oh my word... caramel or mocha please. One of my favorite things to do with my brides is to meet at a local coffee shop in town and talk all things weddings!!!! I will listen to every little detail! Girl, I want to hear IT ALL. We will plan our timeline for YOUR DAY and sip our sugary, creamy goodness.
My drinking problem
My mom and 3 sisters are my best friends and close confidants. Emily, Abby, and I are all 18 months apart and inseparable. We run out for coffee together, binge watch Downton Abbey on Prime in the evenings, and we're often caught standing in the kitchen talking til the early hours of the morning. They are my best girlfriends and I look forward to having all the helping hands and shoulders to lean on when Robby and I start our family in the near future.
